It's 11:34 pm on a Saturday night. My room is on the 2nd floor of Little, and the skybridge connects my building to the common room. The water station is located there. What can I observe through the first window on my way there? How many people do I see walking the Choates at 11:30, how many bikes or scooters are parked, or even how many spiders are there tonight? Tonight is my first night of observation, so I have nothing to compare my findings to. I remember seeing a spider climbing down her web during orientation week, which is what prompted me to choose this location. Tonight, there was only one girl who walked through the window in the direction of Bissel and Cohen. That said, I took a gander through the window on the left side of the skybridge and noticed a group of 20-30 people suspiciously hanging out. Two of them were drinking from some sort of can, which I assumed was just a can of Spindrift or soda. I was surprised by the diversity of males and females. A pretty good ratio, honestly: a mix of 15-20 girls and 10-ish guys. Seemed like a fun time, but I did not recognize a single person.

I remember walking through this hallway in shorts and T-shirts the first couple of weeks of school, feeling great. A hoodie and sweats are the bare minimum if you don't want to get hypothermia. I will have to get used to these cold winters. Temperatures never went below 45 degrees in California, and now that will be the occasional high in January and February. Cold temperatures come with positives. Skiing!!!

I hope to see a spider during my next adventures at this window. Only three vehicles were under the right bridge. The first was a white and black Janics bike, followed by a blue Nishiki bike, and lastly there was a scooter lying on the floor. Lets see if there will be more or less of something next time!
