- a game of spikeball commences as they lose the ball for the tenth time

- night befalls the green and the lights are surrounding the green, but not enough to light it up like it was during homecoming
- the rain creates puddles unseen to the untrained eye and my friend Harper steps into a huge puddle; the flash is turned on, but that makes it even worse to see
